On 10 December, the online course «Academy of Effective School Management» for trainers wrapped up. Despite difficulties with Internet connection and communication due to massive attacks on Ukraine, the course gathered together more than 300 trainees – 185 of them completed the course successfully and got certificates.
The course was designed to help trainers of newly appointed school principals get acquainted with key elements of the In-service Training Framework Program for Newly Appointed School Principals, improve the skills required for studying working programs of in-service training of school principals and develop competencies, which are necessary for training an efficient educational leader ready to work in the times of crisis changes.
The course was attended by trainers of regional In-service Teacher Training Institutions and Teacher Professional Development Centres that work with newly appointed school principals.
During the course, the trainees studied in detail the following topics:
18 Ukrainian and Finnish experts took part in the development of the program and implementation of the course. One of the course trainers was Ari Pokka, the Learning Together project expert, educational designer of school curricula, President of the Finnish Association of School Principals and the International Confederation of School Principals.
