Dictionaries of Mathematics Terms for Students of Schools With the Languages of Instruction of National Minorities are Available

From now on, 1^st-11^thgraders of schools with Hungarian and Romanian languages of instruction can use online dictionaries of mathematics terms in order to translate them into Ukrainian as well as mobile applications for using these dictionaries.

These useful and necessary dictionaries for schoolchildren have been developed by our project in cooperation with the Bukrek publishing house. The dictionaries have already been approved by the Institute of education content modernization.

On a special site matematika.app the following online dictionaries and mobile applications are available:

• Hungarian-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Hungarian;
• Romanian-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Romanian;
• Polish-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Polish;
• Slovak-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Slovak.

Dictionaries and mobile applications are designed for both students and educators-representatives of Hungarian and Romanian national communities.

Thanks to dictionaries it is possible not only to find out the meaning of words, but also to listen to the way they are pronounced in Ukrainian and see the examples of their use in sentences. These tasks are facilitated by a convenient word search engine.

The applications will help students prepare for exams and EIT in mathematics and enter Ukrainian higher education institutions. At the same time, knowledge of the Ukrainian language covering various educational areas will contribute to the integration of young people and schoolchildren from Hungarian and Romanian national communities into the Ukrainian society, and their rapid adaptation.
