Recordings of Webinars of PRESETT Training and Development Programme Have Been Published in the NUS Hub

From now on, in the NUS hub, you can view recordings of webinars of PRESETT Training and Development Programme. It was developed and conducted for the training of trainers in higher education institutions, which offer initial teacher training degree programmes.

Webinars of the program will help to use the Finnish approach in the development of educational programs and best practices in the training of pedagogical workers. The programme will help the teaching staff of higher education institutions evaluate the existing and develop new PRESETT curricula for the specialty 013 Primary Education for obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in primary education in accordance with the pedagogical concept of NUS.

The programme was conducted for 24 pilot higher education institutions from all over Ukraine. The modular training webinars are designed to enrich the Ukrainian development work by sharing the corresponding Finnish approach and good practices in teacher education.

Among the topics discussed during the webinars:

  • interactive teaching methods, research projects in teacher practice in the training of future teachers;
  • the connection between theory and practice in teacher training;
  • international and Finnish approaches to the training of future teachers;
  • assessment in teacher training: types, methods, criteria;
  • peculiarities of mentoring in pedagogical practice.

The lecturers of the webinars were 7 experts from Finland – D-r Jari Lavonen, D-r Kaisa Hahl, D-r Heidi J. Krzywacki, D-r Anni Loukomies, D-r Reetta Niemi, Ms Anja Huurinainen-Kosunen, D-r Riia Palmqvist.
