The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution on amendments to the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Finland on implementation of the project “Finland’s Support to the Ukrainian School Reform”.
It is worth reminding that the Agreement on project extension was signed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland Sanna Marin on 26 May 2022 in the city of Kyiv. According to the Agreement, the project has been extended until 2023.
In the long term the program is expected to raise the quality and level of education in Ukraine and contribute to the positive perception by Ukrainians of their education system and changes it undergoes.
Finland’s support to the Ukrainian school reform is consistent with the Finnish policy, as Ukraine plays an increasingly important role in the bilateral cooperation between countries.
According to the current development policy, Finland will support Ukraine’s structural reforms and recovery as RF’s military aggression poses a threat to the security in Europe. Ukraine needs help for its structural reforms and recovery efforts.
